My wife got an exam and contacts from Dr. Ha, and I got an exam not long ago because of my aging eyes (presbyopia) and we had a pleasant experience. However, it was after I brought my 4 year old toddler to her recently that prompted me to review her outstanding rapport with young children.

My kiddo does not like medical visits of any kind. I thought he was going to be okay going in at first because of all glasses on display that got him curious and interested. But once we sat him near an examination machine and Dr. Ha started asking me questions about him, he knew it was yet another medical examination and started to bawl. Once he starts crying, it's not easy to calm him down.

Dr. Ha immediately gave him attention and asked if he wanted to play some games, with numbers and letters. Told him hat he will see a balloon inside. Asked if he knows his colors and to tell her the color of the balloon. I'm stunned that she got him to sit still (we're talking 4 year old here) for about 20 minutes for various exams.

Highly recommended! On the phone, she said as long as the child knows their alphabet, they are old enough to get an exam with her.
